Mistborn Books 1-3 by Brandon Sanderson, ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Read in January/February 2020
1. The Final Empire
2. The Well of Ascension
3. The Hero of Ages
The magic system in this world is so interesting and I don't think I've seen anything like it before. I like how we found out more about it in each installment of Mistborn and I am particularly fascinated by the Terrismen and their powers.
I had a few suspicions about certain things and Brandon Sanderson still threw in some surprises to keep me guessing. And the ending of Book 2 made me immediately reach for Book 3.
Personally, The Hero of Ages is the worst of the bunch but still very interesting and good. More like 3.5-3.75 stars instead of the full four. (I rounded up due to my enjoyment of the overall trilogy). I thought it was slower with less action and more detail as we found out more about the magic systems and religions of this world. While this was fascinating and I enjoyed the new and different perspectives, I do think bits could have been cut as it was just slightly too long
